You and me both @zacharye; though I need to bounce now, I have to be at church @ 730am to setup for a long day. -

@atmasphere: right. Just looking at the OS number alone, I would wager that the N800/N810/N810WME were all apart of step 3, which was to hit various users with just enough form factor types that different wireless lifestyles can be afforded. Step 4 might be the OS, with 5 being something along the lines of the Morph Concept device. (...) -
I've got theories, but the next major update is going to have to be a huge one. My guess is that is when we will see some of the fruits of the Trolltech acquisiting in terms of the UI layer of things. Might see some new hardware form factors, and a definitely increase in performance in both battery and processor/memory areas. (...) -
There's not really much in the looks dept that has changed IMO; some of the improvements like the stability, better finger recognition, and a few other tweaks are nice to have though. Software should mostly be compatable. It will be the updates after Diablo that get interesting. For me, that might push me to get a new IT (that is, if Nokia or Palm doesn't make my holy greeel type of device) -
Diable is a feature pack update, not a full out update (in some respects it is though as many things internally apparently have been fixed). link to some screens -
@rcadden: agreed. I thought about it, but I'm not that desperate for an update. I do notice that there isn't much of an update to the microB browser and that's quite disappointing. -
Yes and no; usable, but defintiely in the bugy heavy mode - link - was page 5 where it started for me, your thread settings might be different though -
@atmasphere: no, Jobs said at intro that they wern't doing 3G because the chipsets werent power efficient enough. Nevertheless, a lot of not-US carriers wanted 3G, so Apple has made it work. Considering the battery performance on EDGE, I wouldn't be surprised if what they got to work is much better than anything not named the E61i. -
I'd argue Ricky that if you did the same with Nokia (not that I am advocating it, SG has a great mix of rumors and content IMO) that the attention would come as well. The fact that Engadget and others can put spin on such mundane features, and have it amount to free marketing for Apple does mean that it does work - have merit is a different story. -
